Big Pharma are rapidly losing face and money.  The blockbuster model is no longer attractive because of exorbitant R&D cost; uncertain FDA approval; and stringent demands on early-stage toxicological testing to avoid fiascos such as Vioxx®. The traditional intake of two to three pills three times a day is not the best protocol and often causes poor compliance and undesirable side effects.  Big Pharma are turning to biotech companies for innovative solutions for optimizing the therapeutic protocols as well as for earlier and more reliable prediction of toxicological side effects of drug candidates. 

This is where we come in! AccuRx makes Pharmacogel, an intelligent drug delivery system to increase the safety and efficacy of prescription drugs. Our technology allows precise control of the dose and frequency of drug intake to achieve the right level of treatment at the right location, which in turn minimizes the undesirable side effects.  While our competitors use empirical methods that work only on a few specific cases, our proprietary platform technology provides effective tuning knobs for controlling the delivery characteristics of a wide selection of drug candidates. 
When fully developed and commercialized, our technology has the potential to extend patent protection for the blockbuster drugs in the pipeline.  Generic drug companies can also adopt our technology to seek patent protection through reformulation/repackaging approaches.  Both these applications eventually lead to lower prescription drug cost.

The first application of our technology is for glaucoma therapy.  We have both in-licensed and proprietary technologies to expedite new product development.     
We currently have angel funding and have the necessary infrastructure and resources to develop the technology to get us to the next phase, which is venture funding.
